The flavour of coconut oatmeal with chocolate reminds me of a Bounty bar. But it fits much better as a dessert than a snack. For people with sweet tooth it could be a perfect breakfast.
Ingredients
for 2 portions
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 cup milk
70g dark or milk chocolate
2 tablespoons coconut chips (or 2 level teaspoons grated coconut)
2 tablespoons honey
Instuction
Bring milk to a gentle boil in a small pot over medium-low heat. Stir in oats and honey. Lower heat and simmer until milk has mostly been absorbed, about 15 minut.
1 bar of chocolate broken into smaller pieces, put into a metal bowl and put on a pot of boiling water. Heat over low heat until chocolate is melted.
Put oatmeal in to the jar, add melted chocolate and sprinkle top with coconut chips.
